A RUSSIAN ship loaded with gunships set to be used to slaughter innocent woman and children in Syria was yesterday turned back off the coast of Scotland.

The ship with her £60million haul of helicopters was sent back to Russia after being halted 50 miles off the Hebrides as UK government officials checked her insurance was cancelled.

This prevented the ship docking and fuelling in the UK, disrupting her journey.

Syrian exile groups in Scotland said the ship’s payload would have been used to kill hundreds of helpless civilians.
